Prayer for Homeschoolers: Dedicating Your Homeschool to God
“You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” Psalms 65:11
Lord, we dedicate this year to You and rejoice in Your faithfulness to us. We stand on the covenant You have made with our Father, Abraham, to bless us. As we begin a new season of educating, training, and preparing our children to serve You, we ask You to crown this year with Your goodness. May Your Shalom—and all that entails: peace, prosperity, health, spiritual well being, and favor—fill our lives.
Thank You for calling us to educate our children at home. We accept this mission humbly, with a sense of eternal purpose and divine destiny. We declare that as Your children, we are a people set apart, a chosen generation, that we may show forth Your praises. Thank You that the calling and gifts You have placed in us and in our children, are irrevocable. We declare that our children will fulfill all You have for them.
Father, use this year to work in their lives for Your glory! We declare this year to be a season of great growth, productivity, and fullness—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. As we delight in Your Word, we shall be like a tree, planted by living waters ready to bring forth its fruit in its season, our leaves shall not wither, and all we do shall prosper and be successful! Above all, Lord, we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. As the deer pants for the water, may our spirits long for You in a new way. May we be mindful to be a blessing to others, both in our household and in the family of God—in Jesus’ name.
